I’ll Be Right

The sky was black

The rain came down

The rivers turned

a muddy brown.

The lightning struck

The dark sky sizzled

The power went out

and I just frizzled.

Not to worry, I’ll be right.

The gutters filled

The dams, they burst

Roads washed away

and cars submersed.

The yard it squelched

It reeked of mud

The lawn it drowned

beneath the flood.

No worries, I’ll be right.

The water rose

It tumbled through

my downstairs garage

and laundry too.

The boat came by

in the nick of time

My house dissappeared

in the sea of slime.

But don’t worry, I’m alright.

Yeh – Right as rain.
