Oonagh Prettejohn

Oonagh Prettejohn was born in Madras, South India where she spent her childhood. After several years in the UK and serving in the WRAF she moved to Australia and is proud to call Cairns, North Queensland, home.

She enjoys the discipline and challenge of short story writing and being forever fascinated by her fellow humans she finds no shortage of inspiration. Although she considers life to be her greatest education as a writer, Oonagh studied Creative Writing with the Institute of Modern Language in Townsville, North Queensland. Her stories have won prizes and several of her short stories have been published in Australia and the UK.

Oonagh has recently published a memoir of her childhood in India called Tiffins & Chanawallahs.
