Heather Farmer

Heather was born in March 1942 in Sydney, into a world at war. Her family, like most of Australia, feared invasion and occupation. During ‘The Longest Decade’, as Heather grew older, she became aware of the men’s absence, and the family’s fears, their pain and grief, joy and relief.

She now lives in Cairns, Far North Queensland.

Heather’s book has been recently reviewed by Jerry Waxler, author of Memoir Revolution. A copy of the review can be found here: H Farmer – The Longest Decade – A Literary Memoir
